It is estimated that 10 per cent* of all allergies in dogs are in fact food allergies and common symptoms can include; chronic ear inflammation, gastrointestinal problems, chronic diarrhea or gas, licking their feet, or an itchy rear end. Allergies tend to be a genetic problem so are not something that can be prevented and can be triggered by coming into contact with the food that your dog is allergic to, even if it is something they are used to eating.
